Premature Articulation or Going Off Half Cocked

Thirteen months after Ted the Tyrant threw his Unitil Temper Tantrum -

what happened?

Has DeSalvo followed through with anything he started in less than two years on the City Council?

A little short on STAYING POWER, are you, Theodore Edward?

My female friends tell me there's nothing more disappointing than a man who starts something he can't finish.

Maybe this will help.

After his "fruitless" tenure on the council, how can people expect Ted to make a positive impact on this city?

Results speak much louder than excuses. Has anyone asked Ted why any of his petitions never passed? The answer that you recieve is that everyone is against him.

His ideas have been fine, almost admirable. His delivery sucks! Stop pissing off the wrong people and you may even be able to put your name on something productive! Everyone have given you multiple chances. Now all they want to do is give you enough rope to hang yourself.

Ted's running out of rope!

Say no, I want to read your comments after seeing Desalvo do the Eyebrow on Bill Gates! I want to read your comments about Desalvo's dad setting up the rings for him in the backyard (nothing about his competitions).

You can tell there's something wrong on a neurological level because he has that narcissism that comes with head injuries and never learning to listen to others. Weird, weird, weird.

Truthfully, Nowoco, I don't have an iron stomach. I'm as interested in seeing the DeSalvo schmooze as I am in having a barium enema.

Interesting though that he talks so fondly of dear old dad. What he told folks during his Ward 4 campaign was that dad was addicted to internet porn and that dad was a financial drain on them because they kept paying off the credit card bills he kept running up online.

What we really don't understand is how smart people like John Roncone, Rosemary Reynolds and Joe Pandiscio are doing in bed with such a low life transient. Surely they've developed better judgment in their lifetimes than to be taken in by The Rainmaker.

Never underestimate the credibility of a voter. I was told by someone who was at the St. Joe's club that the council members who attended sat with their arms folded during his turn at the podium, including during periods when othes were applauding. Then again, none of that crowd have much to be proud of at this point.

But the signs are going away....

I'm going to disagree with you on that count, Nowoco. As a whole group, I'm not proud of the council and feel let down. But individual councilors who bucked the majority, or who searched their conscience and did what they sincerely believed was right - they deserve our thanks for making the effort.

The problem is that they have had a difficult time working together for two main reasons: Dan Mylott and Theodore Edward DeSalvatore. With Mylott out of the mayor's office and The Beaver off the council and out of city politics we stand a chance of pulling out of this nosedive, regardless of who replaces them.

It is good to see those illegally placed signs disappearing from public property. And man, are the T.E.D. signs disappearing from private property like hotcakes as people wise up to this con man.

DeSalvo's going to find out that while he may be for sale, Fitchburg is not. He loves those Leominster politicos so much, he should move over the line and become one of them. They'll chew him up and spit him out.

Individual councillors had their moments this summer, but on the whole, the ignorance, irritation, grandstanding and general fussing those people did was not good governance. In private, 1 on 1, some of them showed a modicum of decency but it was always -- always -- overlaid with political expediency. Don't forget, they never took their final official vote on the cuts, which underlies the reluctance but also shows that too many people doing those jobs have no idea what their full responsibilities are. Desalvo is the worst and most obvious example of someone over his head, but not the only one. But the one that's most fun to poke fun at.

The citizenry have got to be more aware of all that goes on. Never assume good decisions are being made, or that news is accurately reported. Question motive. What did Desalvo ACTUALLY DO in his 2 years on the council that makes him qualified to run? What schooling beyond high school (hello Dan the dapper one)? What in his past is relevant to his ability to perform this job?

And why are these local politicos buying it. That part is really creepy....Keep up the good work Say No....
