Telegram Letter to the Editor: Campaign manager needs anger control

Campaign manager needs anger control

We had a bad experience at the parade on July 4.

My husband and I were watching the parade from Monument Park, in Fitchburg. Clark Patterson, Ted DeSalvatore’s mayoral campaign manager, attempted to hand us some of Mr. DeSalvatore’s campaign fliers. We refused them, telling him that we would probably vote for Lisa Wong for mayor. When Mr. Patterson heard this he became very angry and asked us in a very loud voice why we would want to vote for her. We told him we thought she was the best-qualified candidate because of her education and her positive attitude.

Mr. Patterson said that while Ms. Wong was director of Fitchburg Redevelopment Authority she put it in the red. This is not true. I was very badly frightened by Mr. Patterson’s demeanor. I am extremely upset that Clark Patterson would verbally assault senior citizens. He needs to take a course in anger management.

Sure you were scared, and we think you're telling the truth also. Vote for Tom Donnelly and all your problems are over.

And for christ sake stay safe and stay away from downtown!

The city would be safer if Ted and his supporters move out.

was there a picture of this ficticious person, laura williams. i find it hard to believe that any campaign manager would be foolish enough to treat anyone let alone a senior that way. just like he would not steal from them as you have been known to do .....

come on now, delete, delete, delete. anything speaking positive of those you have tried so damned hard to hurt is deleted. so let your fingers do the walking!!!

Ok we're going to leave that last one up here just to demonstrate what looneytunes we're dealing with.

Ya got the wrong newspaper boyo. The Telegram verifies identity and obtains permission before printing letters to the editor.

Speaking of identity, we're not any of the parties you keep erroneously identifying.

What we find hard to believe is that anyone would be stupid enough to BE your campaign manager.

As to the lady you call fictitious, you know her well. She was born in this city and she has been an active and respected member of this community for all of her years, never a bad thing to say about anyone.

Go pick on someone your own size. From the recent photographs you'll need to find a porker.

Fictitious?

Funny, just two seconds with Google and I found a Laura Williams living on Marshall St in Fitchburg. Let your fingers do the walking indeed!

Umm, also I'm pretty sure pretending someone doesn't exist when they clearly do and then claiming the site admin stole from a senior citizen is different from "speaking positive" of Ted. It actually just appears to be slandering everybody else.

Not that I blame you, he's a hard man to speak positively about.

Enough of this bullshit. Register to comment or take it over to Save Fitchburg. Jason will let anybody through these days. Maybe you'll find an audience there.

Just so you know: the only thing FAIR about the Say No site is that it's a fair and open forum to discuss WHY we don't want DeSalvo for our mayor, dog catcher, garbage man or sewer cleaner.

There ain't no fair and balanced here because the man is about as unbalanced as they come. He's torn up jack in Fitchburg and we intend to continue to exposing him for what he is:

A CRACKPOT IN NEED OF SERIOUS MEDICAL INTERVENTION BEFORE HE SELF DESTRUCTS.

Don't like what we have to say? Blow it out your - well you get it.

Sorry, Fitchburg-Shuffle ... not a good idea to post addresses on the internets so I've edited that out.

I'm new to this blogger stuff.

I hear that the Williams' are a great family! I'm guessing that is the Laura Williams that wrote that article. The family has been here for generations. They has a great investment until a few years ago. The Wong sticker is on their door. Guess what mistake they won't make again? Support Ted.

I'll bet DeSalvatore's boy looked all day for them. Remember folks, if you don't support Ted you are the ENEMY!

Oh yea, I fucked up and voted for DeSalvatore too! Sorry Linda!

We're just wondering when DeSalvo plans to comply with the law and post his demolition and building permits and whether he plans to empty that overflowing dumpster before the first snow flies and the wind blows the fiberglass all over the "Clean Streets.

At least he's made his own property look better. NOT!!!!

There used to bee some beautiful trees that surrounded the house, providing some nice shade. Now his property looks like a baren moon scape. Keep up the good work, Ted!

fitchburg-shuffle,
The reason the trees came down was so his cameras could see everything in the neighborhood. People who never had to close their blinds in the daytime now live in the dark.

DeSalvo has 4 four sings on one party. Does he think this will help him? LOL

Anonymous said...

What are sings? And we had a great party at grillishis last light not a lot of people but a grate time

Anonymous said...

that was lisas party last night it was not for ted

I meant signs. While I was jogging Rollstone Rd, one of the homes there had like 4 signs. I think Desalvo's campaign workers also live there.

Does 4 signs work better than 1? LOL

I heard DeSalvo's fundraiser this past weekend was a disaster.

Oh well.

The cookout was lightly attended. He said that 300 tickets were sold. Looked like only 10% of those people were there. Not a familiar face in the croud.

Anonymous said...

we sent a spy to desalvos picnic there were a lot of people there but they gave them free tickets I bet, its easy to get 300 people there if the tickets are free lol

Anonymous said...

For free food anyone can get a huge crowd!!!!! They were there for food not anything else

There will be a "Classy" gathering this Thursday at Destare for Mr. Donnelly, donations are suggested between $100.00 and $500.00, this is what a fundraiser should be, see you there.

Is it true that donnely wants to bring back chief cronin?

The great advantage that Tom has is an very well funded campaign, money is no object so I suppose if money can make a difference he's got the job.

When money isn't an object, and you can hire a profesional campaign manager you're in. The grassroots campaign type could never withstand high finance.

DeSalvatore has common regular folks that support him and they don't have money. Wong draws from the mostly female segment and I'm not sure how much money she'll be able to gather, so this all comes down to money.

a democrat is mistaken on several counts.

1. DeSalvatore has HUGE money behind him, including Red Line Wall Systems. They outspend the Donnelly and Wong campaigns 10 to 1. So far DeSalvatore has nothing to show for it except a lot of signs and a few ads.

2. DeSalvatore's early grassroots support has eroded. Very few of his write-in votes for Ward 4 councilor will be repeated in the primary election. 90% of his Ward 4 supporters have bailed and distanced themselves from him. His Back Streets Association fizzled when the members figured out it was a sham created as a "grassroots" organization to endorse him for mayor "at the right time." The only ones left are the kooks and the naive, well meaning sheep - along with the power hungry and those looking to have "our man" in the mayor's office.

3. Wong supporters are evenly divided among the genders. Her support primarily comes from citizens who are knowledgeable and involved and who are looking for "positive change" and economic growth.

Well I guess you learn something new everyday, thats not at all what I've been hearing, but you could be right.

I agree with notsofast assessment.

This is going to be a tough challenge for anybody going against the good old boy network that backs donnelly. The other canidates have a battle against the group that wants to keep control and continue of the path it's on. The week kneed councilors feel they have no choice but to back donnelly to preserve themselves, a very sad situation indeed.
