Is Anti-Catholic DeSalvo a member of Knights of Columbus?

Say it isn't so.

The rumor is circulating the DeSalvo was accepted for membership in the Knights of Columbus, an organization which requires that applicants for membership are "practical Catholics" in good standing with the Holy See (Vatican.)

Surely this rumor is unfounded. DeSalvo is a known anti-Catholic who, when he first darkened the virtual doors of the City of Fitchburg, hounded neighbors and acquaintances, thumping his protestant Bible, telling them that if they were Catholics they were going to hell and had to be saved.

Surely the local Knights of Columbus hasn't been duped into granting him membership.
